Dear Readers and Friends of the Polish Catholic weekly Niedziela,

Francis Cardinal George, O. M. I. - Archbishop of Chicago

As the joyful proclamation of Easter again echoes through the whole world, announcing Christ´s definitive victory of light over darkness, grace over sin, and life over death, I extend my warmest greetings to you and those you love. The Easter message is not simply news of an historical event, it originates in a Person, Jesus Christ, who calls us to follow Him, forms our lives as His disciples, and anchors our hope of eternal life. At the heart of this discipleship is conversion, which transforms us into instruments that the risen Lord uses to draw others to Himself. Like the Apostles, we are called to a daring faith, for Christ is truly risen and has promised to remain with his Church until the end of time.
Proclaiming the Easter message through the mass media is a powerful way to evangelize. I am deeply grateful to all who are involved in editing and distributing the Polish Catholic weekly Niedziela in the Archdiocese of Chicago, especially to Father Adam Galek and his dedicated staff and volunteers, and to the parishes and other locations where Niedziela is sold. As we celebrate this Easter season, I ask you to remember me in your prayers, as I will remember you in mine.
Sincerely yours in Christ,

Niedziela w Chicago 16/2006
